Hope you all enjoyed your Easter and the Workers holiday?! I remember spending last year Easter in Dubai and opted to stay in my beautiful city this time round 🙂
I want to share somethings to do in London with no Money!
If I was given a pound for every time someone said they find London super expensive,I’d be a millionaire! Please don’t get me wrong, it can be expensive  BUT there is so much on offer in London without the need to spend a penny!
I’m sure you won’t fault me for deciding to dedicate this blog highlighting just a few places in London to visit – not to worry, as we journey together we’ll explore other parts of London too….!
We  got off the tube at Westminster station, walked  along the bridge with the view of London Eye just  across the River and the view of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey just steps away from each other. You can’t  miss these but can also very easily be missed depending on your state of mind ( i.e. whether you are exploring London; going to work or rushing to catch up with friends!)

It’s odd for me  doing tourist things in London because most times, I’m either in work mood; rushing somewhere or trying to get home which means I never stop to appreciate the city’s  beauty and all on offer for free!
I have noticed too that sometimes we just miss the iconic London buildings due to proximity as they happen to be so close to each other- of course not a fault, but making you aware of this fact.
We walked towards  Downing Street and  Green Park leading to Buckingham Palace and  the Gardens. Ah, each time I embark on this walk, it always feels like a new and totally different experience from the last time and did I mention how romantic it is?!
As you know, the UK weather has a mind of its own so ensure to check your weather forecast before embarking on this walk otherwise you may end up totally soaked, depending on your route, it can take between  45-60 mins to find a shop!
The weather was absolutely great for us and we walked on for hours, only stopping for tea and coffee at the park, watching the squirrels eat and play with tourists; kids and parents  enjoying the scenery whilst others  either playing football or in the playground.
We also had some fun of ours taking pictures to share with you :).
I must confess, the sheer beauty of Buckingham Gardens blow me away! I was not only excited to see so many tourist in this part of London, I was glad to be one myself!

As you’d agree, a fashion and travel blog is never complete without some images of my outfit. I chose on this day to wear a polyester long black shirt with a corset belt; a pale pink vest top and a black blazer, a pair of sandals from Aldo (sadly, haven’t really showcased them in these pictures); finishing off with a light pink scarf and handbag from Louis Vuitton

As we journeyed along, we walked through the spectacular Park Lane- Knightsbridge, seeing the clothes displayed on the shop windows, if you’re anything like me- the pull to step into the shops was ever so strong but I had to stay focused and not get carried away – the life of a shopaholic!
The next day, we started our trip at Embankment after church service on Good Friday, I like the view at the Embankment Bridge through the street towards Victoria Embankment Gardens, as you know following my blog for a while now-I LOVE NATURE! Sometime special happens to my well-being when I am in a garden; in the wild; at the park or by the sea- I rediscover myself  and re-connect with my Maker. How about you? Do you feel the same or different? Please leave your comments below as I’m intrigued to know more about my readers and how and what helps you connect! 🙂

At the statute of Robert Raikes- Raikes used his publishing business to promote the Sunday School Movement- these were seen as the fore-ruuners of the current English School System.

The Sphinx also known as ‘Cleopatra’s Needle’ (located on the Thames Embankment London). It was made in Egypt for the Pharaoh Thotmes III in 1460 BC, making it almost 3,500 years old. It was named Cleopatra’s Needle because of its origin ‘Alexandria’ (The Royal City of Cleopatra).  It was brought to London in 1887 to commemorate the British Victory over Napoleon 63 years earlier according to The Historic UK

On the third day, we decided to indulge in a long walk in Finchley park  (North London), we walked for 2 1/2 hours and still had a lot more to cover .
People sometimes have the misconception that there are no country parks in London or that one has to go far out of London to experience nature- I used to share this view too until I started exploring London.  There are numerous parks (again, all free!) in London when you need that quiet time to reflect and relax….

In the park- looks more like the wild if you ask me! 🙂

Take some time to rest and enjoy the things you love dearly- life is too short!
I hope you have enjoyed this journey  with me and I look forward to exploring more beautiful places with you!
See you soon xx
